3. Form a ball of dough and let it increase slightly in volume. Then knead lightly and leave it until it doubles in volume.

4. Wash the apples, peel them, remove the middle, cut them into small cubes and place them in a container that can be closed tightly.

5. Divide the dough into pieces (as if you were making pies) and spread each piece in a small circle - in the middle you will put a few diced apples, sprinkled with sugar, cinnamon or vanilla. Cover with another piece of dough.

6. Fry the donuts in a deep saucepan in hot oil. Fry over medium heat until golden brown, then turn and fry on the opposite side.

7. Remove with a spoon and place on a plate / plate, on paper towels.

Yogurt and blueberry donuts (quick, poured donuts)

It is about Liviu Rebreanu's well-known novel, Ion, where moments are slipped into which I may not have given so much importance, moments that have to do with my favorite subject, food. At the challenge of Lidl, who made this wonderful video inspired by the atmosphere of Liviu Rebreanu's book (stay tuned, because there will be two more that I can't wait), I imagined what could have been on the table at Ana's wedding and of course I stopped for the first time at my favorite part, dessert. During that period, dairy products were often found on Romanian tables, the meat being just a treat. So I imagined these donuts with yogurt, I found very interesting and tasty creamy yogurt made from buffalo milk. some very tasty donuts came out and only good to eat breathlessly at any feast. I couldn't just stop at the donuts, so I also made a mayonnaise bread that went great with Moldovița fluffy cheese, which is one of my favorites from our Cămara range. frying oil (around 700ml -1L depending on the frying pan)

About 30-40 donuts will come out of the above quantities, depending on how big or small you make them. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Heat a frying pan with frying oil, do a test with a small amount of dough to check the temperature of the oil, then start putting the donuts in the pan with the spoon, put only 5-7 donuts with yogurt at a time, I used a spoon for ice cream . Once they are nicely browned, turn them over on the other side with a spatula and fry them for a few tens of seconds until they turn golden. Take them out on a flat plate over which you put paper towels. Serve hot or cold with powdered sugar, jam or honey. Enjoy!

Simple and quick donut ingredients with ricotta

  • 250 grams of suitable wet ricotta
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 1 whole whole egg
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • grated lemon or orange peel (about 1 teaspoon, scrape only the yellow part of the surface)
  • optional, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • vanilla powdered sugar for finishing or various toppings (chocolate sauce, honey, etc.)

1. Put the whole egg, salt and sugar in a bowl and mix with the mixer on high speed until the sugar is completely dissolved and a pale yellow foamy cream is formed.

2. Ricotta (which is nothing but urda, but more delicate than our urda, the one we are used to) is mixed with cinnamon and grated citrus peel until it becomes creamy.
Note: if you do not have organic citrus fruits, wash them thoroughly with hot water and a clean sponge before scraping them, then wipe them with a towel.

3. Add all the egg cream over the mixed ricotta. Then add the flour in the rain and mix with a wide, flexible spatula. Be careful, the texture of the final composition must be similar to that of a cream: to be able to pour easily with the posh, but to keep its shape well.

Depending on how wet the ricotta was used, you may need to add 1-2 extra tablespoons of flour. On the contrary, you may need a few tablespoons of cold milk. Both flour and milk, as appropriate, will be added successively. Mix well after each until the ideal texture is reached.

4. The composition of quick donuts is transferred to a posh with a star opening, not wider than 6-8 mm.

5. In a large pan with a thicker bottom, heat the oil until, if we dip the tail of a wooden spoon in it, a circle of air bubbles immediately forms around it. Pour the composition of quick donuts into the hot oil, in the form of 10-12 cm sticks. They will fry over medium heat until golden on all sides. They will then be removed on a tray covered with paper towels to drain excess oil.

6. Arrange the donuts on a plate. Sprinkle with vanilla powdered sugar or sprinkle with honey or chocolate sauce and enjoy.

In a frying pan, put oil to heat and put the donuts lightly until they come off the paper, fry them over the right heat, always turning them from one side to the other until they turn brown.
Remove on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.

The oil must have a constant temperature. If it is too hot, it will burn on top and will remain raw inside.

In another bowl we will mix the yolks, salt, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar and essence. We will stir continuously until the sugar melts and everything is homogenized.

Separately in a pot we melt the butter on the stove. We will put the flour in a bowl and we will make a hole in the middle where we will add the mayo. Over this we will add the composition of milk, sugar, yolks above. We will mix until they have the consistency of a dough. Stirring further, we will gradually pour melted butter over it, then the grated lemon peel. Knead well and set aside the dough to rise for an hour in a warm place. Careful! When kneading, add a little flour or have your hands greased with oil so that the dough does not stick to them!

When the dough has risen, prepare it with a spatula so that a thick sheet (about a finger) results. With the help of a pahat we will cut the donuts until we finish the dough. After cutting, let the donuts rise for a while longer, until they double in volume.
