Cooking a rustic casserole with smoked chicken and cheese:

Step 1. Fry onion and garlic.

First set heat up to 200 degrees. Peel the onion and chop finely. Peel the garlic and rub into a fine grater. We heat the pan, pour 2 tablespoons of oil and spread the chopped onion and garlic. Fry, stirring the onion with garlic until the onions are soft - minutes 7. Set aside for now.

Step 2. Cook the potatoes.

Peel the potatoes, cut into 0.5 cm plates. Pour water into the pan, add salt to it and let the water boil. Put the chopped potatoes in boiling water and reduce the heat. Cook for 13-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the potato slices. Raw potatoes are usually put in a casserole, but chicken breast is used in our recipe. In order not to dry it during baking, the potatoes should be boiled almost until ready. When the potatoes are almost cooked, drain the water and leave to cool slightly

Step 3. Prepare smoked chicken.

Chicken breasts are cut into thin strips with a knife on a cutting board. If there are bones, then we remove them. We spread the chicken in a pan to the fried onion and garlic. Cut the parsley finely and also spread it in the pan along with the chicken. We mix everything.

Step 4. Fill the form with baking ingredients.

For baking, you can use a pan with high sides and without plastic handles or transparent forms for the microwave. All casserole layers are visible in them - it is beautiful and appetizing. Lubricate the baking dish with vegetable oil and spread the layers. Depending on the width and height of the form, three or five layers can be obtained, the main thing is to evenly distribute the products. The lower and upper layers are potato. We spread it exactly on the bottom of the form. Then spread the whole or half of the chicken filling on the potatoes. Potatoes again on top. We spread sour cream on the top layer of potatoes and spread it evenly on the surface of the casserole. We cut the cheese into strips and put them on sour cream to cover the entire surface.

Step 5. Bake the casserole.

Put the casserole dish in a heated oven for 20 minutes. The casserole is ready. Fragrant, juicy with a beautiful crust of melted cheese.

Step 6. Serve the casserole.

We take the casserole from the oven. You can cut it with a knife into portioned pieces directly in the form and put on plates. For such a casserole, it is good to serve a salad of fresh vegetables. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - When frying onions and garlic in the pan, you can add some spices for the chicken.

- - The top of the casserole can be greased instead of sour cream with mayonnaise.

- - If you use new potatoes, then you can not boil it, but use it for baking raw. In this case, increase the baking time by 5-7 minutes.

- - Instead of smoked breasts, you can take smoked legs.
