Cooking fish with rice in the oven:

Step 1. Cut the fish.

I like to cook from fillet, because even small children can safely eat this dish without fear of choking on a bone. So, take the cod fillet, cut it into pieces, salt, pepper and set aside. You can sprinkle fish with a prepared mixture of herbs. Yes, I almost forgot. Turn on the oven!

Step 2. Preparing the roasting.

My carrots, peeled, three on a coarse grater. Peel the onion from the husk, cut in half rings or smaller. Pour vegetable oil into the pan, fry the onions. When it is a little browned, we put carrots to the onion. We pass the carrots with onions for 10 minutes.

Step 3. Boil rice.

Rinse well in cold water. Pour water into the pan, put half a teaspoon of salt and add rice. Note that the ratio of water and rice is 2: 1, respectively. Bring the water to a boil and reduce the heat. Cook for 10 minutes. Rice should be half-cooked, as it will reach the readiness together with the fish. Then we drain the water, covering the pan with a lid or throw the rice on a sieve to glass the water.

Step 4. Fill the baking dish.

Take a baking dish. At the bottom we spread the frying of onions and carrots, evening it evenly. We put pieces of fish on the vegetables. On fish rice cooked until half cooked. Pour hot water on top so that the water covers the rice by 1 cm. On top add a little salt and put the mold in an oven heated to 200 degrees. After 20 minutes, the water should evaporate, and the rice swell. You can take out the form and grease the top with mayonnaise and put the bake again for 10 minutes. Appetizing crust is guaranteed! The dish is ready, turn off the oven and leave the fish and rice for another 5-7 minutes.

Step 5. We serve fish with rice to the table.

We take out the finished dish from the oven. Let cool a little and cut in the form into portions. This dish goes well with white wine. Enjoy your meal!

- - After cutting the fish, you can pour a little juice of lemon.
