Cooking Chestnuts:

Step 1: Prepare the basis for the test.

First we need to boil hard-boiled eggs. I agree, this is a bit unusual for cookies, but this is the highlight of our cookies, it is magical! Separate the yolks from the proteins and rub the yolks with a slightly soft oil using a spoon or spatula. A little later, here we add sour cream, sugar and vanillin. Mix everything thoroughly so that the mass becomes homogeneous and the sugar dissolves.

Step 2: Knead the dough.

In the resulting mass, we carefully, in small portions, add flour and baking powder. Knead the dough thoroughly until it stops sticking to your hands. As soon as it stopped - the dough is ready!

Step 3: Form the cakes.

Now we pluck small pieces from the dough so that the ball rolled from these pieces is no more than a walnut. We form a cake from a ball.

Step 4: Prepare the filling.

Now the fun part! In the center of our tortilla, I put peeled hazelnuts. BUT! You can put any other! Peanuts or cashews are perfect, for example, and if fantasy breaks out, you can also put a piece of dried fruit.

Step 5: Form.

Well, now we form a ball from our flat cake with the dough, carefully, so that the nut is inside the dough. You can roll it between your palms so that the ball gets a more even surface. Now grease the baking sheet with oil or cover it with baking paper. Put our balls on a baking sheet not too close to each other so that they do not stick together until they bake. We will bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.

Step 6: Cook the icing.

While the cookies are ripening in the oven, we will prepare the icing. To do this, take butter, sugar, cocoa and milk, mix them and bring to a boil. All this time, frosting need to stir constantly. As soon as the sugar has completely dissolved, our icing will be ready. Remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 7: Prepare the breading.

Grind the remaining nuts with a blender or grater.

Step 8: Cover the cookies with icing.

While the icing is warm, alternately dip our “chestnuts” into it so that all the cookies are covered with chocolate. Remember: glaze cools quickly!

Step 9: Cover with breading.

Glazed cookies must be carefully rolled in breading. Here we dip in nuts, but sometimes I do with waffle crumbs. It turns out a completely different taste!

Step 10: Serve the cookie.

Serve cookies with milk or hot tea and lemon. The unusual look of cookies will brighten your table and can serve as the main delicacy for dessert! Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - After making the cookies, the egg whites remained unused. They can be stuffed with some kind of paste and also served.

- "Chestnuts" are unpretentious in storage, do not deteriorate and do not dry out, making them easy to transport.

- - So that the icing does not freeze in the saucepan too quickly, you can periodically put it in a steam bath.
